Just one of the most legendary properties in the town of Eau Claire just acquired a main encounter elevate.
Affectionately deemed the “Turf House” or the “Fake Grass House” mainly because of its deliciously retro fixtures and proliferation of AstroTurf (within and out), the property at 506 Margaret Road in Eau Claire’s Eastside Hill neighborhood was set up for sale in October 2019.
At the time, Volume One posted the listing on social media, and feedback commenced a-flyin’ from local folks who had long wondered what the within appeared like.
“That blue rest room! Cherished it as a droid in Star Wars,” a single comment go through.
“Something about this household gives me a B movie Fantastic Gatsby vibe. Who wishes to make a film?” reported yet another.
“The inside is every little thing I imagined it would be,” one said.

In November of 2019, Karen Shane bought the residence, and started off an extensive renovation system that turned the Turf Property from a colorful and exclusive, disco-era throwback to a modern-day marvel with modern, minimum styles. Shane kindly permitted our staff members photographer Andrea Paulseth to get an special look at the inside of of the Turf Home before and immediately after the renovations.

“That home was so surprisingly one of a kind! I desired to save so a lot,” Shane wrote to Volume One. “But it was not simple, (wasn’t) very purposeful, and also it was 45 yrs previous.
