The $2.5 million renovation of Larkspur’s historic Lark Theater is wrapping up this 7 days after a year of delays, rising prices and partial openings.
The 82-year-outdated theater at 549 Magnolia Ave. received a complete facelift but stays accurate to its artwork-deco model.
Interior do the job includes a new lobby, concessions spot, seating, lighting and an additional adjustable stage for live gatherings. New showcase home windows, marquee lighting and upgraded box business also were being extra.
A reopening celebration is set for 5 p.m. Thursday and will attribute wine and hors d’oeuvres, live songs, theater tours and a ceremony.
A broadcast screening of the musical live performance “Ball and Boe,” showcasing functions Michael Ball and Alfie Boe, also is planned.
