Taking into consideration its antique lights, art-deco glass, and refined pink counter tops, this newly remodeled learn rest room may make you feel as if you have stepped into a glamorous Parisian dream. But believe that it or not, this suite overlooks the Mississippi—not the Seine.

Prior to calling Liz Schupanitz of Liz Schupanitz Types, the owners dealt with maintenance complications and realized the bathroom’s 1950s structure was in want of a refresh. The room’s vibrant pink partitions and clunky cupboards weren’t performing the space any favors.

With a designer on board, the shoppers committed to a comprehensive renovation. The goal? Make the new bathtub soft, feminine, and reminiscent of the couple’s honeymoon suite in Paris. Channeling their memories and cherished times, Schupanitz designed the best placing for calming in the bathtub by candlelight or sitting at the mirror with a make-up brush.

However, the bathroom’s confined square footage needed her to recreate the search of a Parisian penthouse without the need of relocating the tub, shower, and rest room. “It was a funky rest room to get the job done with,” Schupanitz remembers. “A curved vanity served increase the room with out making a huge cabinet, which was both equally a layout and spatial option.”

The vainness, outfitted with a laundry chute, storage, and get-completely ready room, provides a feminine contact of operation.

Nearby, a linen cupboard gives a flexible area to property  a laundry chute and vanity—one wonderfully outfitted with sufficient counterspace and a big mirror. “I tried out creating [the vanity] element of the sink cabinet, but there wasn’t more than enough room,” she provides. “I kept worrying it would search silly hanging off the linen closet, but that and the sink cupboard are my favorite.”

Considerably of this aesthetic is owed to the design’s ornate nevertheless refined finishes and supplies. The pink countertops—comprised of an Italian Rosa Portogallo stone imported from New York—were a scarce come across and took time to track down. White and grey marble in the shower enhances the rosy, intricate tilework, although the simplicity of traditional white cabinetry visually juxtaposes thorough gentle fixtures. Schupanitz’s new structure not only preserved the bathroom’s pink spirit but also gave it a a great deal-necessary glow-up.

In return, the house owners attained a lot more than just a lovely toilet in which they can unwind and unwind. Now, they are reminded of their fond French recollections in a room that’s très magnifique.
