Screen grab from Zillow
Rock ‘n’ roll lovers rejoice: A home in the shape of a guitar has graced the real estate market in Fayetteville, Georgia, for $789,000.
“I promise you’ve NEVER seen this before!” the listing on Zillow.com says. “‘Guitar House’ is ready for a true connoisseur! Unique shape and floorplan will blow your mind away!”
Of course, the five-bedroom, four-bathroom property has a backstory that explains its musical design, which can be taken in from an aerial point of view.
“It was designed as a guitar by the country music singer Elvis L. Carden,” the listing says. ”Not only was it his home, it was also his muse! One of his albums is named ‘Living in an Old Guitar’ and his single has become a favorite with radio promoters and DJs.”
Features of the 3,122-square-foot residence include:
-
Two in-law suites
-
“Industrial style ceilings”
-
Antique fireplace
-
Custom-made vintage windows
-
Skylight
-
Hardwood floors
-
New shower, tile, light fixtures
-
“Fairly new roof”
But not everyone is a fan of the unique home.
Folks on the popular social media real estate page Zillow Gone Wild were split on their opinion of the home – some loving it, some… not so much.
“Why no kitchen photos?” one person asked. “Why so many random sinks? Why do the bathrooms make me so depressed?”
“If you really love music, no need to fret, this house is perfect for you,” another said.
“This house is sort of like the tattoo on my back. It’s a cool design and all but I never really get to see it,” someone compared.
“This house really struck a chord with me,” one person joked. “But it wouldn’t be my first pick.”
“I love it… needs a guitar shaped pool too,” another said.
“Think of it as a blank piece of sheet music,” someone commented.
“The inside misses a beat!” one person said.
Fayetteville is about 20 miles south of Atlanta.
